Ice hockey renews its connection with Abu Dhabi

The 14th edition of the UAE Ice Hockey League, organized by the Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club under the umbrella of the UAE Winter Sports Federation, kicks off today. Six teams are participating: Abu Dhabi Storms, Al Ain Theebs, Shaheen, Galaxy, Mighty Camels, and White Bears. The competition begins at the Abu Dhabi Ice Rink in Zayed Sports City. The first match will feature Shaheen against Mighty Camels. Tomorrow, Abu Dhabi Storms will play Galaxy at the same venue, and the first week's matches will conclude on Thursday at the Dubai Mall Ice Rink with a game between Al Ain Theebs and White Bears. Hamad Obaid Al Sheryani, the club's executive director, said: "We aim to expand the base of ice hockey and help teams attract new players, which will ultimately benefit the national team."
